CPCA posts crime alerts, with cooperation from the 2nd District of the DC Metropolitan Police Department, for our two neighborhood Police Service Areas. PSA 203 covers Cleveland Park north of Macomb Street and PSA 204 covers the neighborhood south of Macomb. We also post occasional alerts and comments from our local MPD commander and other officials.

Offenses

March 26, 2017  Theft f/ Auto. 3801 Veazey Terrace NW. 5-5:30pm. PSA 203.

  • Complainant reports unknown subjects smashed the rear passenger window and stole a Kate Spade purse in plain view containing assorted personal valuables.

Theft II <$1,000. CVS – 3327 Connecticut Ave, NW. 5:30-5:40pm. PSA 203.

  • An unknown 2 subjects entered the CVS and stole electric toothbrushes and assorted hygiene products.

Credit Card Fraud. 2702 Wisconsin Ave, NW. 8:52-9:15 pm. PSA 204.

  • The Complainant reported seeing unauthorized charges on his credit card made by an unknown subject.

March 28, 2017  Theft f/Auto. 3031 Sedgwick St, NW. 12-1:50 pm. PSA 203.

  • Complainant reports an unknown suspect broke the rear window to the vehicle and stole personal property (purse, credit cards, check book, Drivers license).

Theft II < $1, 000. 2601 Connecticut Ave, NW – CVS. 3:15 pm. PSA 204.

  • Complainant reports an unknown suspect entered the store and concealed Dove soap in a bag. The suspect was confronted by an employee to turn over the merchandise; suspect refused and stated he came to the store to steal it and fled on foot.

Theft II < $1, 000. 3327 Connecticut Ave, NW – CVS. 3:30 pm. PSA 203.

  • Complainant reports an unknown suspect entered the store and stole Dove soap without attempting or making payment for the merchandise.

Theft II <$1,000. 2641 Connecticut Ave, NW – Lebanese Taverna. 5:40-6:20 pm. PSA 204.

  • Complainant reports an unknown suspect came into the restaurant and ordered food which was not to his satisfaction & refused to pay for food he consumed.

March 29, 2017 Theft I >$1,000. 2500 Calvert St, NW – Omni Shoreham Hotel. 9:10-10:10 am. PSA 204.

  • Complainant, employee of the hotel reports leaving his property in the back of the room and returned to find it stolen by an unknown suspect. Taken was an ipad, HP laptop, JBL headset and a UA back pack.

March 30, 2017 Leaving After Colliding. 2559 Waterside Dr, NW. 5:40 am. PSA 204.

  • Two vehicles involved in a traffic accident, the first pulled over and the driver exited when the second driver left the scene and failed to make his identity known to the other driver.

Theft f/Auto. 4817 36th St, NW. 2:20 pm. PSA 203.

  • C-1 reports unknown suspect(s) removed property from her vehicle.

Fraud. 2212 40th Pl, NW.  4:50 pm. PSA 203.

  • The complainant reports a known subject gave her a fraudulent check in the amount of $750.00.
