Firehouse Renovation – Update #5

Cleveland Park’s Fire Station, Engine Co. 28 and Truck 14 at 3522 Connecticut Avenue, NW is now open and fully operational. On Friday, January 17, 2014 a ribbon cutting ceremony was hosted by DC FEMS to welcome firefighters and EMS personnel back to their newly renovated house.

CPCA is in discussions with DC FEMS and other Cleveland Park organizations to plan an open-house event that brings together residents and the Firefighters that serve at Engine Co. 28. Look for more details this Spring.

Firehouse Reopening Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
On January 17, 2014, DC F&EMS hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to re-open Engine 28. Mayor Vincent Grey, Councilmember Mary Cheh, DC FEMS Chief Kenneth Ellerbe, CPCA President & 1st VP, Susie Taylor & Helen Chamberlin, ANC3C SMD05 Commissioner Margaret Siegel. Other local officials from DGES, the Construction Co. and approximately 20-25 uniformed DC F&EMS personnel were in attendance.
