Our Very Own Susie Taylor Wins Trailblazer Award

In honor of Women’s History Month, the DC Council hosted “Public Service and the Women of Washington,” an event paying homage to all of the former women Councilmembers and honoring eight female leaders from across the District who are effecting change in their communities. Our own CPCA President Susie Taylor received one of these first-ever Trailblazer Awards from the DC Council, having been nominated by Ward Three Councilmember Mary Cheh. According to the Councilmember’s office, the award was created to honor outstanding women in the community who are making an impact on the city in different ways, and are “unsung heroes.”

We all appreciate Susie’s untiring and inspiring efforts on behalf of the Cleveland Park community and take delight in the fact that her work has been noted and celebrated on a city-wide stage.
