We want to be sure you know about our upcoming ANC3C Candidates Forum on Thursday evening, October 20. After a packed meeting at the library last week on “Connecticut Ave: Planning to Avoid Gridlock,” it is clear that what happens in our community is of real concern to local residents. Advisory Neighborhood Commissions play an important role as an intersection between us in our neighborhoods and city agencies and the DC Council.
It is a sign of a vibrant local democracy that there are two candidates running for each of two of the positions on our ANC3C. With the closing of the Cleveland Park Library for reconstruction, we will be holding this meeting at the Cleveland Park Congregational Church.
